Bible Study
Adult Bible Study
Sundays, 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Parish Hall
A time for laughter, fellowship, and personal growth for adults of all ages.
We take delight in "studying" someone who is important to us. We want to know what makes that special person smile or celebrate. What matters to that person. What makes the person "tick." The study of God's Word is much like studying a beloved. It is not so much an academic exercise as it is an opportunity to draw close and get to know on a deeper and more personal level. We study God's Word in order to study God. The wonder of studying God's Word is that it makes knowing God in a personal and dynamic way not only possible, but peaceful and exciting, all at the same time.
Children's Sunday Activities
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14). Children are therefore specially honored at Peace Lutheran Church. The sound of children in worship is one of the great joys of Peace Lutheran Church.
Sometimes parents need time in worship to concentrate on their growing relationship with Jesus, especially when the message of the day is shared. So Peace Lutheran Church offers a variety of child care ministries during the Sunday morning worship service.
- A "children's activity bag" for use during the worship service
- A special "Children's Message" by our pastor during the worship service
- A nursery area for the very young
- A time of activites, songs and prayer for children up to fifth grade during the last half of the worship service
None of these special ministries is meant to discourage children from attending worship, but all are designed to help children grow in Christ in a way that matches their development and allows their parents opportunity to grow in Christ as well.
